Within the NATO leaders meeting, high representatives of respective countries will address the issues of paramount importance to NATO such as – improvement of readiness of allied forces, update of action plan against terrorism and balancing the burden of defense investments.
At the NATO meeting in London, leaders from the NATO member countries will once again highlight critical importance of transatlantic bond and reconfirm their commitment to the NATO principles.
Alongside the other leaders, this NATO gathering will be attended by the US President, Donald Trump, Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel and François Hollande of France.
Georgia as NATO’s close partner is invited to a high-level side event – “NATO engages” to be held within the NATO leaders meeting on 3rd December. At this event, Georgia’s Foreign Minister, David Zalkaliani will address the panel discussion – “from the Baltic to the Black Sea: Security on NATO’s frontline”.
In the framework of the visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, David Zalkaliani will meet the UK’s Minister of State for Europe and the Americas, Christopher Pincher and participate in a NATO foreign ministerial meeting hosted by the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Dominic Raab.
