Government of Georgia continues to gradually lift the restrictions imposed due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Government of Georgia continues to gradually lift the restrictions imposed due to Covid-19 pandemic and open the economy over the next months:

From 23 May- Georgia is ending the national state of emergency and curfew;
From 24 May - Retail and wholesale stores, open markets all types of production and publishing activities will be opened, apart from malls;
From 7 June - Restaurants and on-site food facilities and all types of financial services will be opened;
From 15 June - Domestic tourism will be promoted;
From 21 June - Closed markets, all types of on-site restaurants/catering facilities will be opened;

From 1 July - Georgia: Safe Destination for international travel will host international tourists;
From 5 July - Entertainment, sports, recreational, creative activities, hotels, educational institutions and all other activities;

All businesses regardless of category will have to abide by hygiene standards set by the Ministry of Health, including maintains social distancing measures, wearing a mask in closed commercial and other spaces.

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated that if the pandemic situation worsens the restrictions may be revised.
