HE Ambassador Tamar Beruchashvili
Tamar Beruchashvili is the Ambassador of Georgia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as of March 2016.
At different times across her 25 year rich diplomatic experience, among other issues, she was working on international trade and Georgia’s European integration agenda. During her extensive career Ambassador Tamar Beruchashvili served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, State Minister on European integration and Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Principal Member of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement Negotiation Team, Head of the Governmental Coordination Team on the EU-Georgia Visa Liberalisation Negotiations, Deputy Head of the Georgia’s Accession to the WTO, Member of the EU-Georgia Association Council, Permanent Member of the EU-Georgia Cooperation Committee and Cooperation Council.
Ambassador Tamar Beruchashvili holds PhD in Economics from Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University, MPA from Indiana University Bloomington, USA and MSc from Moscow People's Friendship University. Since 2000 she is lecturing in various Georgian universities including TSU, GIPA, Ilia State University.
Ambassador Tamar Beruchashvili has series of publications on foreign affairs, international trade, the EU, WTO and the EU-Georgia relations.
She is married with two children and two grandchildren.
