Georgia Investment Forum at the London Stock Exchange

London, 16 May 2025 – The Georgia Investment Forum, held at the London Stock Exchange and jointly organised by the Embassy of Georgia to the United Kingdom and the London Stock Exchange itself, brought together over 180 representatives from leading international investment firms and groups. The high-level event was officially opened by First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili.

The forum aimed to highlight Georgia’s growing investment potential, with a focus on key sectors such as renewable energy, agribusiness, real estate, and tourism. In his opening remarks, Minister Davitashvili emphasised Georgia’s economic resilience and continued growth in the face of global uncertainty and regional geopolitical challenges. He noted that the country is emerging as one of Europe’s most dynamic and stable economies.

Minister Davitashvili also underscored the importance of deepening trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and the United Kingdom. He pointed to British Airways’ recent entry into the Georgian market as a successful example of the expanding commercial partnership between the two nations.

The forum featured participation from senior officials from both the government and the private sector, including Minister of Finance Lasha Khutsishvili, President of the National Bank of Georgia Natia Turnava, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandre Khvtisiashvili, and Deputy Ministers of Economy and Sustainable Development Genadi Arveladze and Irakli Nadareishvili, Mark Clayton, Director of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia Department (EECAD) at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, and Mikheil Khidureli, Director of “Enterprise Georgia.”

The event served as a platform to foster dialogue between investors and policymakers, while reaffirming Georgia’s position as a strategic and attractive destination for international investment.
