At the meeting held within the Government Administration, discussion focused on the existing relations between Georgia and the United Kingdom. The Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated the diplomat on his appointment as ambassador and wished him every success in his future work.
Ilia Darchiashvili has held various positions over the years. He served as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Head of Government Administration of Georgia and Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was also First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, as well as Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia.
