easyJet Launches Direct Flights Between London and Tbilisi

Another leading international airline has entered the Georgian aviation market. Today, British low-cost carrier easyJet operated its inaugural direct flight from London to Tbilisi, officially launching regular service on this route.

easyJet will operate twice-weekly flights between London Luton Airport and Tbilisi International Airport, significantly enhancing connectivity between Georgia and the United Kingdom. In addition, the airline will commence direct flights from Geneva and Milan, also with two weekly frequencies on each route, starting this week.

One of the world’s largest low-cost airlines, easyJet ranks 11th globally and serves over 1,000 destinations across 35 countries.

The launch of easyJet’s operations in Georgia is the result of extensive and coordinated efforts led by the United Airports of Georgia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.

The entry of another globally recognised airline into the Georgian market is expected to boost international visibility, foster greater accessibility for travelers, and contribute to the growth of the tourism and aviation sectors.
