Recognition of Jonathan Djanogly, Chair of APPG Group on Geogia in the UK Parliament.

On 30 January, at the initiative of Ambassador of Georgia to the UK, H.E. Tamar Beruchashvili, the Embassy of Georgia hosted the recognition ceremony of Jonathan Djanogly, Chair of All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Georgia in the UK Parliament. Jonathan Djanogly was recognised for his firm support towards Georgia and his personal contribution to advancing parliamentary ties between the two countries.

In her speech, Tamar Beruchashvili highlighted the dynamics of UK-Georgia strategic partnership and successful parliamentary diplomacy in particular. The Ambassador highly appreciated the work and support of the APPG and Jonathan Djanogly's special contribution in this regard. Tamar Beruchashvili has handed over to Mr Janogly the recognition award signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, David Zalkaliani.

From his part, the British MP thanked the Georgian side for the award and expressed his readiness to further promote the UK-Georgia parliamentary relations as well as keep Georgia's high on the agenda in the UK Parliament.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Jonathan Djanogly's family, representatives of the UK Parliament, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, NGOs, Embassy of Georgia and the Georgian Diaspora in London.

The event was followed by Georgian wine and canapés.
